Bart Drost

In a former school building in Houthem-St. Gerlach, South Limburg, the Cuppens sisters?both visual artists?have, after a thorough renovation, created living quarters and studios. These are for themselves and for so-called "guest artists."

Things are still in their early stages, and the renovated Houtkust will likely prove to be a continuous work in progress.

Bart Drost was the first artist to open this revitalized Houtkust: he had the honor of being the first artist to work in the brand-new guest studio from May 1st to 31st, 2024.

This booklet is a (visual) account of the two installations he presented at the school, entitled 'tweeluik van vergetelheid'  on Sunday, July 7th, 2024.
