Bart Drost

Ínteresting detail of the contract provider (a community schools in Brummen) was that the artwork would be designed by the pupils. Drost invited all pupils (from 4 to 14 years) to realize their ideas about the art work. Result was a series of more than 100 drawings on A4 format. Drost made for the final result (34 sandblasted glass panels) use of 12 drawings of the children and of 22 (details of) drawings from his own archive. the Leitmotiv  of the work is a text written by one  of the pupils:  'The Hunter and the Black Panter'.

A festive opening calls for a present! Bart Drost made a memory game for the children of the daycare and primary school in Brummen in an edition of 350 copies. The images in this game are (parts of) drawings that the children and Drost themselves made in the run-up to the design for the art application.
