Bart Drost

Ínteresting detail of the contract provider (a community schools in Brummen) was that the artwork would be designed by the pupils. Drost invited all pupils (from 4 to 14 years) to realize their ideas about the art work. Result was a series of more than 100 drawings on A4 format. Drost made for the final result (34 sandblasted glass panels) use of 12 drawings of the children and of 22 (details of) drawings from his own archive. the Leitmotiv  of the work is a text written by one  of the pupils:  'The Hunter and the Black Panter'.

"er loopt een zwarte panter een jager zit achter hem aan maar hij loopt onder een palmboom en er valt een kokosnoot op zijn hooft en hij krijt een bult op zijn hooft en er zweeft een adlaar boven zijn hooft en er is niks met de zwarte panter gebeurd."
