In 1997 Bart Drost sets out for a working period in the south of India. He discovers plastic toy animals as working material. His newly composed animals are the basis for this exhibition. He takes photo's of the toys, casts them in aluminium and finally places them on papier-m?ch? replica's of himself. Some drawings from his Indian sketchbook are shown man-size on three glass plates. The lines of these drawings are screen printed as mirrors. Behind thes glass plates are hanging three man-size photo's of the artist holding an Indian boy by the hand.
