the xiamen projects - maas nijmegen - 2011
In 2011, Bart Drost spent a short period as guest lecturer at the Art & Design Department at the Tan Kah Kee College of the University of Xiamen, China. His stay in Xiamen became a boisterous acquaintance with Chinese culture, with everyday life in the city. He became infected, as it were, by the unbridled energy that was currently circulating in Booming China. The result was shown in five art projects that Drost presented at the end of this work period at various locations in Xiamen and now in a new form at MAAS Artist Residence in Nijmegen.
