2019

The new revised projects are slowly but surely taking shape. Everything seems to fall into place under the heading 'in paradiso'. The fact that there are no prospects for exhibitions this year doesn't have any influence on the working energy of Bart Drost. It is important that the projects are made anyway.

2018

The MAAS activities will stop on 1 January 2018 and the entire space will be available again as a studio for Bart Drost. He picks up the old themes again and makes new versions of exhibition projects from around 1985, taking into account the social changes.

2017

In 2017, the entire studio was evacuated for the installation 'sen lin mu', a project that Bart Drost carried out together with Zhixing Jia following the felling of three acacias at the entrance to the studio.

2016

Reusing 'old images' is good practice in the work of Bart Drost. The series of 7 oil painting paintings from 1994 'swimming pool' are cut into pieces and transformed into folding screens.

Preparations for the exhibition 'boys' that Bart Drost designed as curator for De Vishal and De Grote of St.Bavo Cathedral in Haarlem made Drost dig into older and new work.
