all the poems (ode to reve) - 2010
'Give what you have and map the story' was the command that Bart Drost himself gave in making the exhibition 'collected poems' in the Chapel of Notre Dame des Arts. The artist Drost is at his best when he gets free hand and feels unseen. In a nothing veiled confession he brings works from the years 1983-2010 together and indeed the boys image (once again) seems to be the poetic heart.
Drost bears the exhibition 'collected poems' on to the Dutch writer Gerard Reve, under whose influence he has dared to break limits within his art work.
