for my youngest son - church of persingen - 1986

Central in this exhibition in the little church of Persingen is a merry-go-round consisting of twelve black papier-maché horses. They are dancing around an ethereal column with on top a small green tree. A boy's figure painted on canvas and pressed between two glass plates, a hobbyhorse, a crown with coloured paper leaves, a wreath of artificial silk daffodils and an iron plate with the text 'I love you' make the exhibition complete.

It was the intention that the opening of the exhibition on Sunday morning at 11.00 was festively added to by a barrel organ. Due to the rules regarding disruption of the Sunday rest, however, the barrel organ did not play at 11:00, but at 12:00.
